Your slow night has potential.

Trivia, music bingo and DJ nights in the South Okanagan that turn a soft weeknight into the one people plan around.

The real competition

It isn't the pub down the street.

People aren't staying home because your beer is bad. They're staying home because Wednesday has nothing on it. The couch is free, it's warm, and it wins every single time there's no reason to put shoes on.

A good night is that reason. Run it well, run it every week, and Wednesday stops being a gamble and starts being a plan.

What I'd run in your room.

  • Trivia

Six rounds. Fifty four questions. Three prizes. A picture round people argue about in the parking lot.

2 to 2.5 hours, weekly or monthly
  • Music Bingo

Music first, bingo second. Two rounds, about seventy five songs a pool, and a room that sings whether it means to or not.

2 to 2.5 hours, weekly or monthly
  • DJ + Events

Surprise and nostalgia. Familiar early, dance floor late, and never the same nine songs every other bar is playing.

    Flexible, late night

Week one is a room. Week six is a routine.

The first night is never the point. The point is the fourth one, when the same four teams turn up without being reminded, then bring a fifth. Recurring programming is how a soft night turns into a night with a name on it.

That's also the honest part. A new night takes a few weeks to find its people. Anyone promising a packed room on night one is selling something else.

The fair question

Why not just do it yourselves?

You could. Question packs are cheap, somebody on staff can absolutely read them out loud, and I'd rather tell you that than pretend otherwise.

Writing a night is the easy half. Reading a room, keeping fifty people moving, handling the team that turns up twenty minutes late, and doing it again next week without going stale, that's the half nobody puts a price on. It's also the half people can feel from their table.
